HOSPICE CHARITY EVENT

Hospice is a special way of caring for people in the final period of life, in the familiar surroundings of home. Hospice care is provided by HomeHealth Partnership, a joint effort of Riverwood Healthcare Center and the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. Jointly, hospice is supported by a team of health professionals who care for the patient and family as a “unit.”

Hospice services are especially difficult to provide in rural areas and many rural hospice programs struggle financially because of the small numbers of eligible patients.

Annually, the Riverwood Foundation supports this great program with the Hospice Charity Event. Through the generosity of donors and participants, the Foundation annually raises approximately $20,000 net.
