Fourth annual Riverwood Gala to feature ‘Elvis’
Enjoy an evening with “Vegas” style entertainment without getting on a plane. On September 27th, Riverwood Foundation will host its fourth annual Gala, featuring fine dining, amazing live music, dancing and more.
This fundraising event, which benefits Riverwood Healthcare Center, will be held at the 40 Club Convention Center in Aitkin. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail and social hour, followed by dinner and entertainment.
With a “Viva Las Vegas” theme, “Elvis” (aka Chris Olson) will make an appearance, singing many great songs from the ‘50s through the ‘70s, such as “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” and “Don’t Be Cruel.” With the hair, the moves and “the voice,” Olson does a first-class tribute to the “King” with his “Memories of ELVIS” show. He has performed in Las Vegas, California, Montana, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Georgia and numerous other cities in the United States as well as Mexico.
“As in past years, the Gala will also feature live and silent auctions with many unique gift items and great entertainment packages,” says Shelli Urness, Riverwood Foundation Director. “This is one of the best dining and entertainment opportunities of the year for this area and it’s best to sign up early as seating is limited.”
Proceeds from this event will support Riverwood Healthcare Center’s delivery of high quality, locally accessible healthcare services as well as Riverwood’s mission to enhance and improve the health and well being of everyone the hospital and clinics serve through commitment and compassion.
Tickets are $75 each. For $750, sponsor a table for eight for your business or organization. If you wish, donate any seats not filled back to Riverwood to offer to someone who may not otherwise attend.
Back this year is an early-bird drawing to win “free dinner for a year.” Register for the Gala by Sept. 1 and become eligible to win 12 dining gift certificates donated by local restaurants.
