Riverwood Healthcare Center
features a helipad located on the west side of
the facility. North Memorial Air Care, with flight
crews based in Brainerd, Princeton, Twin Cities
and Redwood Falls, MN, serves Riverwood patients with direct transportation to a Level I or
II hospital.
Riverwood became one of the first hospitals in
Minnesota designated as a Level III Trauma Center with
surgeons readily available for emergencies. Response
time is critical to saving the lives of trauma victims
and as a Level III Trauma Center, we have an Emergency
Room provider staffing the ER 24-hours a day.
We also have an on-call physician who can respond
within 15 minutes of the patient’s arrival in
the ER
and a general surgeon who can respond within 30
minutes. Riverwood maintains specific equipment and follows standard policies and procedures to care for trauma patients.
