Intensive Care

Riverwood Healthcare Center has a state-of-the-art, four-bed unit in its intensive care/cardiac care unit. We have the facilities and trained staff to handle those more serious medical situations requiring a higher level of care than offered in our acute care facility.

A helipad landing is located just outside the intensive care doors, to provide readily accessible helicopter transportation for patients needing air ambulance service to Twin Cities or other hospitals.

State-of-the-art technology such as a computerized medication delivery system, electronic health records available at the bedside computer, and beds with scales are all being implemented.
